ZD Shifter SU Series

TTL ⇋ RS232 bidirectional level conversion · In-line communication monitoring

Level conversion is common in many electronic systems, but in the automotive field few products meet the need for bidirectional conversion between TTL and RS signals. ZD's own ZD Shifter SU series supports bidirectional level conversion for up to 8 TTL and 12 RS232 serial channels, connecting on-board TTL communication on vehicle controllers to a test PC.

Connect the device to a PC over USB to convert multiple TTL and RS levels while monitoring bidirectional data traffic.

02Full coverage of common TTL levels

Supports the TTL levels commonly used in the industry: 1.8 V / 2.5 V / 3.3 V / 5 V.

03On-board LED status indication

On-board LEDs show the operating state clearly.

04Two power options

Supports 5 V USB power on the desktop and direct 12 V power in vehicle applications.

05Automatic sleep and wake

Communication monitoring triggers automatic sleep and wake, avoiding battery drain.

06Multiple interface options + port detection

Several port configurations are available, supporting bidirectional signal transfer between up to 8 TTL and 12 RS232 channels. A port detection tool makes it easy to check port mapping. Compatible with Windows and Linux.

Level conversion and in-line communication monitoring

Handles bidirectional signal transfer between up to 8 TTL and 4 RS232 channels, and can forward bidirectional traffic to the USB port. Connected to the Shifter over USB Type-C, the user's PC can view the live serial communication between the head unit and the data logger.

ZD Shifter SU12

Level conversion and in-line communication monitoring

Converts data across 8 TTL, 12 RS232, USB and other port types, and can forward bidirectional traffic to the USB port. Connected to the Shifter over USB Type-C, the user's PC can view the live serial communication between the head unit and the data logger.
