The ZD Signal Generator 3 is a fieldbus signal generator designed for automotive development. Its hardware supports CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet and FlexRay. Custom programs simulate background signals to meet the background signal requirements of the ECU under test on a test bench. It can work alongside SignalGen Lite, which needs no PC or complex client software — signals are controlled and monitored manually through its extensive GPIO interface (buttons, knobs, LEDs). SignalGen Lite can also operate on its own as a CAN signal generator.

Demo projects: bus simulation and signal bypassing support a wide range of demonstration scenarios. The product also works with other ZD products such as SafeLink CAN/ETH and Datalogger, and SignalGen Lite links to the Signal Generator 3 through GPIO to form a PC-free manual control console.
