The ZD Box series is ZD's simulation interface device for vehicle bus simulation and rest-bus simulation. It covers a wide range of bus protocols, deploys quickly on Windows and Linux with no driver installation, and offers excellent compatibility. It provides microsecond (μs) hardware timestamps, hardware buffering that prevents frame loss, software-controlled 120 Ω termination and DC 3750 V CAN channel isolation, for use by R&D, testing, production and after-sales teams.
Supports CAN 2.0 (100 Kbps–8 Mbps), CAN FD, LIN 1.3/2.0, FlexRay, 100/1000M automotive Ethernet and Ethernet standards such as DoIP, SOME/IP and 802.1Q.
Microsecond hardware message timestamps meet high-precision bus analysis and testing requirements.
Hardware message buffering ensures that no frames are lost when logging under heavy bus load.
Built-in 120 Ω termination, configurable in software to suit different bus topologies.
CAN channels provide DC 3750 V electrical isolation, protecting both the device and the system under test.
Runs on Windows and Linux without drivers, supports a range of APIs and custom development, and works seamlessly with host software such as ZD VBT.
During vehicle network development, when some ECUs are not yet available, the ZD Box series simulates the existing bus nodes in place of the real ones to complete network communication validation, supporting early bus data analysis, ECU development and functional testing.
The ZD Box 4442 provides four 100/1000M automotive Ethernet ports and supports 100M/1000M master/slave node configuration. It works with Ethernet standards including DoIP, SOME/IP and 802.1Q for developing and testing automotive Ethernet ECUs.
Used together with ZD VBT, ZD's in-house bus tool platform, it brings together node simulation, bus logging, signal analysis, diagnostics, calibration and scripting to support OEMs and suppliers in network design and testing.
