ZD FrameGrabber

ZD FrameGrabber is primarily used for capturing display outputs from the cockpit domain controller. It connects directly to video bus between video source (ECU) and video sink (display). It grabs video data and sends them to PC via 1 Gbit ethernet. It can save screenshots and video recordings to SD card or USB device.
ZD FrameGrabber supports LVDS interfaces such as GMSL and outputs video in H.264/H.265 formats. It can also support different interface protocols, like FPD Link 2/3, by replacing the interface module.
Additionally, ZD FrameGrabber provides a web interface for quick configuration of hardware settings, including access IP and port, GMSL operating parameters, region-of-interest cropping, and performing online upgrades.

Features

Supports bypass video stream capture, which does not affect screen operation and display.
Supports replaceable interface module for adapting to different types of LVDS interfaces.
Supports low-latency video upload (approximately 200ms) and high-bandwidth video capture (up to 4K).
Equipped with connection status LEDs, making the current connection status clearly visible.
Supports runtime configuration and version upgrades via web interface.
Supports various customizable quick operations through a trigger button.

Application Scenario

In laboratory environments, cockpit automation testing frequently depends on cameras for video and image grabbing. However, camera performance can be significantly impacted by lighting conditions, raising concerns about its stability and reliability. By utilizing the ZD FrameGrabber, more consistent and dependable data capture can be achieved. Its low-latency, high-bandwidth, and dynamically configurable features ensure robust support for the automated testing of cockpit domain controllers.
Furthermore, in test scenarios involving multiple screens such as instrument clusters and infotainment displays, the ZD FrameGrabber can be seamlessly integrated into the test bench. When used in the ZD TAP testing platform, it can achieve even more powerful automated testing capabilities.
