ZD Converter Plus Series

The ZD Converter Plus Series includes the ZD Converter 1500H and ZD Converter 2000H. The ZD Converter 1500H not only supports Gigabit media conversion, but also has a sniffer function, making it a convenient interface device for monitoring Autmotive Ethernet bypass. On the other hand, the ZD Converter 2000H integrates Gigabit media conversion, sniffer, full-duplex full-rate sniffer, and interceptor functions, providing a versatile Automotive Ethernet interface device.
The ZD Converter Plus Series supports and automatically detects IEEE Compliant/Legacy mode switching and is powered by USB or VBAT. Users can configure port properties via DIP switches, wire control or USB programming, and monitor current operating status via integrated LED indicators.

Application Scenario

ZD Converter 1500H
Media converter mode
Similar to ZD Converter 1000 and 10G, supports media conversion. Any vehicle ECU connected to an Automotive Ethernet port can communicate with the Standard Ethernet port.
Sniffer Mode
In sniffer mode, users can maintain Automotive Ethernet communication between devices while sniffing and forwarding the communication to the Standard Ethernet port.
ZD Converter 2000H
Media Converter Mode
Designed with two Automotive Ethernet ports and two Standard Ethernet ports, functions as two ZD Converter 1000 in media converter mode, enabling media conversion between Automotive Ethernet and Standard Ethernet channels simultaneously.
Sniffer Mode
In sniffer mode, users can maintain Automotive Ethernet communication between devices while sniffing and forwarding the communication to two Standard Ethernet ports.
Full-Duplex Full-Speed Sniffer Mode
When the line speed of the Automotive Ethernet reaches full capacity, the bidirectional communication is 1000Mbps in each direction. A standard Ethernet port of 1000Mbits cannot fully capture the bidirectional in-vehicle communication. In this scenario, the ZD-Converter2000H supports full-duplex full-rate sniffing function, which can sniff the unidirectional full-rate communication of one Automotive Ethernet port from two standard Ethernet ports to ensure the integrity of the captured communication data.
Interceptor Mode
In scenarios where ECU debugging is required, the ZD Converter 2000H offers an interceptor mode. In this mode, the unit's two Automotive Ethernet ports are not directly connected. Users can use software tools to intercept the communication of the Automotive Ethernet ports. At the same time, users can use data logging devices to record communication data from the vehicle side through the Standard Ethernet port.
For the Datalogger, communication data between ECUs can be recorded through the Standard Ethernet port; for the user's computer, it can receive data packets from the vehicle Ethernet and perform selective operations such as intercepting and modifying, data values, etc.
