Vehicle Bus Tool -Trace Version

ZD has enhanced the functionality of the ZD Datalogger 3 Series by introducing the "Vehicle Bus Tool-Trace Version" software. The version enables users to configure the datalogger for specific CMP functions, including channel selection, starting and stopping data transfers, as well as monitoring the datalogger's CPU and bandwidth usage during real-time analysis. The software supports multiple trace windows and signal oscilloscopes, enabling real-time signal-level visualization through .dbc and .arxml files. Additionally, the VBT-Trace Version serves as an efficient offline analysis tool, supporting bus analysis with standard format files such as .blf, .asc, .pcap. In offline mode, all features of the real-time analysis mode are preserved, , ensuring users a seamless experience with high efficiency and precision.

Features

Supports importing bus data description files oEnables real-time analysis of online messages by importing files in formats such as .dbc, .arxml, and .ldf
Trace playback of offline data files and waveform revisitanalysis in graphics
Import and export of bus format data files (.asc, .blf, .pcap)

Application Scenario

During road testing, engineers can utilize the ZD-Datalogger3 Series for continuous recording of all bus data while selectively monitoring specific bus channels and conducting online analysis on a laptop equipped with the "VBT-Trace Version" software. In this mode, the datalogger acts as a network interface, using the CMP protocol to forward selected data to the user's laptop. The dedicated "VBT-Trace Version" assists engineers in real-time analysis of signals and recording system behavior. If needed, specific bus data can also be saved separately on the laptop, while the complete bus communication is preserved in the datalogger for subsequent detailed offline analysis using the "VBT-Trace Version."
