In addition to our test benches, we are also constantly working on our general hardware portfolio. Our latest innovation is the ZD-Shifter SU12. Here we explain what a level shifter actually is and how the ZD-Shifter SU12 becomes the ideal interface between datalogger, laptop and test setup or vehicle.
Level shifters are used to create compatibility between devices with different voltages and circuits. To do this, signals are either passed through or converted. To summarize, level shifters bridge circuits, allowing multiple devices to work together that can’t handle each other per se.
Depending on the application scenario, the shifter can be used in a variety of ways. The bidirectional signal transmission and conversion with up to 12 serial ports simultaneously enables flexible and universal use:
For the perfect overview and monitoring of the functions, the ZD-Shifter SU12 comes with a professional software, which was specially developed for the simultaneous use of the 12 ports.
