ZD-SafeLink CAN

ZD-SafeLink CAN is mainly used to conveniently switch between original vehicle CAN nodes and test CAN nodes during in-vehicle functional verification. On this basis, it enables signal-level intervention, routing and adaptation of multi-route CAN bus communication by working with rapid prototyping devices such as ZD-Virtual Gateway. ZD-SafeLink CAN offers onboard terminating resistors, which simplify the resistor configuration of the CAN link. In addition, the device provides 8 redundant CAN ports, supporting monitoring and recording of 8-route CAN communication by third-party devices.

Features

8 CAN bus interfaces to fully meet the diversified needs of customers for physical isolation of CAN topology
Three control modes: DIP switch control, wire control, and USB serial port control
LED lights to show the status of the link in real time
Each CAN bus has 2 sets of termination resistors, with DIP switches to select 60Ω or 120Ω resistance values for CAN termination resistors
A wide range of vehicle power supplies
eMale and female DB9 pair connector, convenient to restore the original CAN bus structure

Application Scenario

Scenario 1
Fast Node Switching
Since the ZD-SafeLinkCAN physically isolates the individual CAN node from the bus connection, the user can easily switch between different CAN nodes and change the CAN bus architecture. As shown in the figure, SafeLinkCAN can connect the old CAN node to the CAN bus without connecting the rapid prototyping device. It is also possible to switch the CAN node to the rapid prototyping device and disconnect the old CAN node from the bus.
Scenario 2
Signal Level Functional Extension Based on Existing Nodes
ZD-SafeLink CAN can be used in conjunction with a rapid prototyping device, the ZD-VirtualGateway, to realize signal-level functionality extension based on the original node, such as signal-level intervention, forwarding, and adaptation to multi-channel CAN bus communication.
